Maggie Harris Longacre - Inducted 2011

Maggie graduated from Souderton Area High School in 1993. She was a two-sport athlete at Souderton, earning All-American status in both lacrosse (1st team) and tennis (2nd team). In tennis, teamed with Krista
Getty, she placed 2nd in the State Doubles Tournament during the 1991 season. During high school, she also competed in regional and national junior tennis events through the Middle States Tennis Association and
the United States Tennis Association.

Maggie earned a full scholarship to Wake Forest University to play Division I tennis. While at Wake Forest, the tennis team had a consistent year-end ranking of 11th in the nation, with a peak mid-year ranking
of 4th in the nation in 1995. She competed in the team, doubles, and individual NCAA Division I tournaments.

She graduated from Wake Forest University with a psychology degree in 1997. She has holds a Master of Science degree in Community Health Education from Arcadia University, and, in 2008, she earned a doctorate degree in Health Policy through the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia.

Maggie currently lives in Harleysville with her husband Kyle and two children, Ella (4 years old) and Kai (1
year old). She currently works as a health researcher through the Cancer Prevention and Control department
at Fox Chase Cancer Center.
